The Role
I really enjoyed coming into work each day. Everyday was like a new challenge to push myself forward and not only learn new things but improve the knowledge I already had. It was challenging, but it was an exciting challenge which I wouldn't change. It has made me want to come back.
We work as a really close team and we are also close. we are not just work colleagues but friends and I have met some really great people on the way and people I feel will be friends for life. it has grown my personality having people around me like this in a work environment.
I feel the management team do support me and I feel I can go to them with any issues I may have. we work well together too. it has been well set out to me what I need to do to learn and develop and it all about pushing your own development as well as letting the management team you want to be pushed too
We are a busy branch and everyday is busy but its this which makes the day go so quick. I enjoy the busyness because it pushes you to be more efficient and find better ways to do certain processes. It makes you work well as a team and improve your organizational skills
I was given the chance to organize my own missions outside the office. I was also able to plan things such as a marketing plan within the branch to drive corporate growth. I was given enough to make me feel valued within the team but not too much that I couldn't manage it.
I feel it has given me a great understanding of business processes. Not only looking at the financial side of things, but also marketing and operations. It has given me a true insight into what the working world will be like once I have finished university and come back to the company.
The Company
we work in such a friendly yet professional atmosphere. we all care for and look after each other which is a real positive thing. it has enabled me to enjoy coming to work and to enjoy working with the people I do. I am also motivated by the friendly atmosphere within the branch
I feel as though I organized myself really well. It was clear from the training book which they gave us what you need to know and how well you need to know it. the structured training guide was a massive help to me in being able to structure my training
I feel as though the company invested in me well. it is clear that they want you to do well and not only push yourself but have them push you too. I did feel out of my comfort zone but that is the way you learn. it was a good challenge for me.
I do want to come back to the company because they have motivated me to do well. I feel this company has given me a great opportunity to success when I come back from uni. and I feel I can do really well working for this company, in the future.
The Culture
We all get a long well which is nice and we do tend to do some things outside of work as we are friends too. we were able to go for a bowling trip last month which was fun because we are able to relax without thinking about work at the same time.
it is not that bad, but chatham has both good and bad parts. I had moved back in with my parents so I was able to live rent free for my time on placement which was a massive weight off my head in terms of going back to uni and saving.
The nightlife is quite good.
