The Role
I really enjoyed my work experience, I was given many opportunities and felt at home from day one of this placement. FDM is a really cool place to work and would advise it to all students as they expose you to the working world.
I felt really valued to a good extent as I was trusted with many projects and was trusted to even leave the country on behalf of our company. Also I made many friends here and everyone was very nice.
Whenever I needed something or didn't know what to do I can just go to a manager and they would be able to help and support me when needed.
Very busy, especially with my role you have access to things others don't so many a times people contact you with various requests which you must complete within a given time.
I was given great responsibility during my experience and was given the chance to run many assessment centres by myself.
To a great extent it has given me greater knowledge on the working and business world. And will even effect me in other ways such as waking up at starting my day early since I'm pretty much used to doing that also.
The Company
The atmosphere was pretty bubbly and there was either a positive or professional vibe in the office. Never once felt hostile.
The setup was perfectly organised and once you come into the company you are pretty much part of the team straight away. Well organized!
Invested in me to a great extent. I learnt new things here such as how to speak confidently in front of crowd which I normally used to be shy but I was forced to develop myself.
International Travel
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing as this company offers many opportunities and have many clients, so FDM would definitely be an option for me in the future.
The Culture
Yes, there was events set up for just interns and placement students such as 'hackathons'. Interns and placement students often got on very well also.
I lived at home so I didn't really have to pay living costs. Since FDM is in the city however socialising and food costs are quite expensive which is pretty much expected.
I didn't go out much but my colleagues did and pretty much enjoyed it.
Yes the were many things going out such as bowling, football sometimes and Drinks.
