About You
I thought it was brilliant. I was treated like an equal member of the team, meaning that I was set tasks and asked to help to carry out various activities. I really enjoyed getting to meet the other members of the different departments in my office. This was good as it confirmed that I want to carry on working towards a career in development.
As briefly mentioned above, I definitely felt valued whilst on my work placement. I was treated as an equal by everyone that I met which made coming to work each day extremely enjoyable. I was also thanked whenever I completed any work, which was nice.
I was given a lot of guidance, especially towards the end of my placement.
The information I have learnt will help massively towards the final year of my degree. I have learnt how to use Pomap, land reg and how to obtain EPC data. I also feel a lot more comfortable using Excel since staring my placement, which will be extremely useful not just in my final year studies, but also when I go into practice.
The Company
Extremely well structured. Everything was well planned out and organised.
It was good, I did not feel awkward or not welcome to the team. Everyone was friendly and helpful and I will be really sad to leave.
I got taught how to use major sites such as promap and land reg which was really useful
I understand now what it would like to work in a development department. I have a good understanding of the day to day tasks that I would be expected to do which is great.
I understand that Savills is a corporate company, but the company prides itself on the social aspect of having a job. Which I enjoyed greatly.
Extremely valuable- I am 100% sure that this is what I want to do as a career. I am so happy that I chose to complete this placement a it has given me such a good insight into what life will be like when I am fully qualified, and I am looking forward to it.
Everything Else
Yes I got to meet other people in the department, but not others from different offices which would have been good.
Good- we got to go for drinks with work which was nice to get to know people on a more personal level.
