The Role
Rightly regarded as one of the best companies to do a placement year with. No tea or coffee making & actual responsibility on a number of projects & tasks. If you're looking for a placement that will really develop your business skills to the next level and then the one after that then this is the company to come to.
Family like atmosphere in the team with people helping each other out with tasks etc. Great teamwork. Colleagues invited me to drinks after work & got me involved in some of their tasks etc.
Was given a lot of support during my year here from my boss and director as they're really keen on making you more employable. I got a lot of good advice from them about how to improve at my job and what my options for the future could be
Never drowning in work but always enough to keep you busy 5 days a week, at almost no points did I have very little to do.
Lots, I was in charge of a global project landing in about 15 countries & also ran my own innovative project.
Makes you realise how irrelevant a lot of your studies at university have been (referring to business degrees). Learning practical, day-to-day information about how businesses & teams work & having the opportunity to practice it every day for a year will help me for the rest of my life
The Company
Relaxed, friendly but work focused. Birthdays were celebrated along with key events of the year like Valentine's day but there was a big focus on high quality, on time work
Pretty well, although it was not made clear to me beforehand that I would not technically be employed by Unilever for my placement year.
They offered me many opportunities to develop my skillset in & outside of the office.
Flexi Time
Financial Bonus
Working from home
Very. Would definitely come back and work here.
