The Role
The training I received was valuable. Also being able to put theory into practice is great. I really enjoy my internship.
My colleagues are super helpful and friendly.
Supervisor is very supportive and points me in the direction of people that can help me answer my questions.
Received lots of work, but that means I learn a lot as well. The balance is good.
A lot of responsibility, building presentations and quantitative models.
The skills I developed will definitely assist me in the future.
The Company
The general atmosphere in the office was very positive and open.
HR can be messy, sending lots of emails, cancelling events et cetera.
They invest in training from Fitch Learning, which is good.
Future employment prospects within the organisation are very appealing. The grad rotation programme seems attractive, in which you rotate between 4 different desks.
The Culture
There definitely was a good social scene amongst fellow placement students, we organised many drinks, parties, lunches, visits to parks et cetera.
The cost of living and socialising in the area I worked in was more expensive than central London I believe, but it was still affordable.
There are many bars, restaurants, and pubs around the area I worked in.
There were not many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work. I would have liked to join sports competitions or something, but I have not heard about it.
