The Role
I am enjoying my time at Citi so far, people are very welcoming and helpful, and my involvement on interesting projects helps me making the most out of my internship
What I thought was a nice approach is the way my supervisors and team mates would get me involved on their current deals, and would get me to do an important part of the work, which made me feel useful and valuable
My supervisors and manager have been helpful and patient, doing their best to make me get a broad understanding of the job and the industry. They were always keen on responding to any question
The workload was quite intense, keeping me busy the whole day
I was highly involved in several deals, and needed to be very careful and rigorous as my contribution was generally directly added to the rest. However, my supervisors would still check what I have done, so no pressure
I am sure the skills I developed or improved through my time at Citi will be very useful in any future job I might do in banking
The Company
The atmosphere was serious when it came to work, but also relaxed and friendly regarding the general ambiance
Everything was set up and well planned
We had a full week of training before starting the internship, then some trainings during our working weeks, which was very interesting
Sports and Social Club
A lot of interns are hired every year following their internship, which is motivating
The Culture
Very nice atmosphere among the interns
London in general is an expensive place
I worked at Canary Wharf, which is not the liveliest area in London by night
During the weekend, yes
