The Role
Couldn't have asked for more - friendly, fun, interesting, exciting. The whole package!
Everyone treated me with respect - they assumed I was intelligent at all times but never assumed legal background information that might not be something I'd been exposed to before.
Regular check-ins and sit downs to iron out any kinks in the system, buddies for support, a senior to guide you in your work. The right amount of support but no over the top hand-holding.
Generally just right - they didn't keep me in burning the midnight oil and only a couple of times did I come up short on things to do (and not through want of trying on their part).
The RIGHT amount - noone wants to be running the show in an internship. I had independence in my work but someone always checked it make sure that any slip up would never have earth-shattering consequences.
The Company
The lovely people at Linklaters know how to throw an EVENT. There was never a dull moment. No event ever went unaccompanied by an excellent variety of alcohol. Fun was definitely on the Linklaters agenda.
VERY well organised. The program was clear, the social calendar well organised. I always knew what I was doing and where I was going. Reminders were frequent and buddies and HR staff always through in guidance where necessary.
We had multiple training sessions every week - I thought this was great. They really invested in training you. We even had a particularly qualified staff member flown in from overseas to focus on our submitted work and offer us feedback -brilliant!
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Healthcare from home
Wouldn't hesitate to work for them again! That one is a no-brainer. You could have confidence in good work and fun times to come.
The Culture
Subsidised canteen was CHEAP. Really cheap.
Pubs surrounded us on all sides - getting drunk was easy.
We had social events at least three times a week. Socialising was effortless.
