The Role
I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the bank.
As an intern, there is a limit to the contribution you can have, but my team always found me useful work to do. They were very appreciative.
I felt extremely comfortable speaking with my managers.
The intern programme is what you make of it; there is always something to do. I was busy most of the time.
I was given enough responsibility that my tasks were meaningful, but I was not doing anything that drove the business.
There are a lot of transferrable skills I picked up, but the main one is organisation!
The Company
The atmosphere was very bubbly and enjoyable. Most people are very approachable and the trading floor always has a nice buzz.
The placement was very well organised.
I felt like they took a lot of time to make sure I was developing. The firm does care about growth over the period.
Financial Bonus
I am excited about the potential to work full-time for a firm like this. There are some very interesting roles within my division.
The Culture
Definitely; the interns on my cohort were very nice.
It was quite expensive because it was in Canary Wharf, but it was not a wallet-destroyer.
It was fun for me because the other interns were always ready to enjoy themselves.
Not a vast amount of opportunities, but enough.
