The Role
It permit me to improve my english knowledges but also my knowledges in welding inspection. I have had the opportunity to integrate the biggest project in Europe : Hinkley Point C in Somerset. I have discover several works like Surveillance, Civil engineering, ... The people were very nice and very professional.
They have me very well integrated. I felt from the beginning as a member of their team which is very rewarding. I was able from the beginning to integrate different teams to discover their activities. They have always made me feel good, even with the difficulties of understanding the language.
I felt from the beginning as a member of their team which is very rewarding. And even before starting my internship. I have been in constant contact with my manager and the recruiting staff. This was very important because I did not know the country and the project. Very goo.
As a first step, I read many documents and reports on nuclear activities, the EPR and the Hinkley Point C project. Then I assisted my team to perform on-site welding inspections. And I could also accompany other wateripes to discover their missions.
I had not responsibility during my internship. I just assisted my team to perform on-site welding inspections.
The skills I developed, and training I received during this internship will allow me to be competent in welding inspection and non-destructive testing. I have also seen the scale of such a project and the culture of safety that is being put in place.
The Company
Very good atmosphere. I enjoyed it a lot to work with the teams.
There is a good communication. But my induction took a little time because of administrative formalities that were not ready.
The skills of my colleagues brought me a lot like the project.
