  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • It was a very enjoyable experience. Everyone I encountered was approachable and was keen to provide an insight into life at Herbert Smith Freehills.

    • I felt very valued as it was clear that the graduate recruitment team had put a lot of time and effort into organising the scheme to ensure it was a great experience.

    • I had a trainee buddy in each seat. This was invaluable as I always had someone I could approach with day to day questions.

    • I learned a lot about how to approach tasks with a commercial mindset. This will enable me to continue to develop this skill throughout my career.

    • It provided a clear picture of life at Herbert Smith Freehills. I was given thought provoking work and I was encouraged to get involved with the events that the firm was putting on for employees.

    • It has confirmed my desire to work at a leading commercial law firm. The exposure to a range of practice areas during the presentations also showcased the scope of a career in commercial law.

    • I attended partner drinks and an evening social. I also went for coffees with employees to have one on one conversations about their careers.
