About You
The insight was very enjoyable and was filled with events for either learning about fundamentals in finance or networking with people working in the firm. The whole insight was a great experience overall.
From the beginning, everybody made sure that we felt special to be chosen for the spring week and continued to do so, even until after the spring week where they have provided additional training.
Questions were encouraged throughout the insight and were answered very throughly to ensure that all of us understood what they were talking about, no matter our finance knowledge.
The training provided gives a good insight to the type of work that is expected from the different sectors of the bank, namely IBD and GM and prepares you for the summer internship.
The Company
The insight was structured well - with long enough periods of listening and learning with well timed breaks in order to retain our attention.
The atmosphere was great. Everybody was friendly and extremely helpful.
J.P. Morgan invested a lot in each of the spring interns as they provided training and experiences which go on even after the week has ended.
Great insight to understand what it would be like to work for the firm as there were many networking events planned for us to talk to people who work there to get a general idea.
As mentioned previously, we had many opportunities to interact with people working in the firm, and thus through speaking to them, I got a good understanding of the company culture.
Incredibly valuable, as before the spring week, I was unsure if I wanted to enter the world of finance, but after the spring week, I am.
Everything Else
J.P. Morgan paid for our accommodation, travel, and some meals, but meals outside of their planned events were not reimbursed.
There were two long networking events, which is enough to meet many people from the firm and get a good understanding of the culture there.
They were perfect, as there was a range of people working in every sector as well as different seniority.
We were told very briefly about other activities that the employees do outside the firm.
Yes, when compared to other insights that I have heard of, it appears to be the best spring insight as they invest a lot in you.
