The Role
I really enjoyed my work placement- I was given a lot of responsibility and so many opportunities to meet people from all areas of the business, including agency parnters. I had the chance to be behind the scenes on film shoots and also take part in learn @ work courses to build on my interpersonal skills.
I had such a great team and really felt valued by my colleagues, I was praised and appreciate in the team.
Throughout my placement year I was given so much support and guidance by my Managers for both work relate and personal matters. I couldn't have asked for any more.
My role is quite full on, there are times when it isn't just a 9-5 job but I prefer it to be this way. I have had a real insight into what working life is like and how I am an integral part of the marketing team.
I was given a lot of responsibility, including financial responsibility for our budget. I had to organise logistics for film shoots involving cars that were not yet announced and a lot of my work is highly confidential due to the nature of the automotive industry/car launches.
My placement year has given me skills for life that I will adopt and take forward with me into my final year of University and into future life. I took part in various training courses, including Personal Development and Presentation Skills.
The Company
A really nice atmosphere, sometimes quite intense but a good office environment, flexible working and hot desking.
Well organised however contract was recieved very late into the process- this has since been reviewed. In general, the placement was well organised and set up with a lot of support from HR and Management.
BMW allowed me to complete work experience at Retailers, Agencies and take part in a number of training courses to build on personal development. They invested a lot into me and allowed me to make the most out of my placement year.
