Insight Day Participant Review

The insight day at M&G Investments was very enjoyable and helped me to gain a better insight into the investment sector. I found the day to be well organised and each exercise ran perfectly. Each of the chosen speakers were very insightful and had a lot to offer and talk about.

I was made to feel well valued and every employee that I met treated me with the upmost respect. I appreciated the friendliness and approachability of the staff, who openly discussed their careers and why the firm is a great place to build a career. M&G provided us with unlimited drinks and snacks, which again was a nice touch.

I received a great deal of guidance and support during the insight day at M&G Investments. From the insightful talks by senior employees, to the staff we had the opportunity to network with - everyone provided me very valuable advice. Furthermore, the Recruitment Team were very supportive and guided us through the day very well.

The skills and information will definitely help me in the future. One of the key skills I was able to develop on this insight was my ability to effectively network. Networking is a key competency, and having had the opportunity to network with a large number of people at the event, I feel as though I have further progressed that skill and am much more confident.

The insight day at M&G was structured well. After beginning the morning with registration and introductions, we were welcomed by a guest speaker before jumping straight into the trading simulation. We were given frequent breaks throughout the day and had opportunities to network with current employees and ask questions about the firm.

There was a great general atmosphere at M&G Investments and I found it to be very lively and friendly. This was especially evident during the networking session. It was clear that everyone at the firm was very passionate about their roles and what they do and this really shone through.

As this is only a one day event, there was no training on the insight day, however I would not have expected any. However, throughout the day, the firm invested a great deal in our personal development and all of the events and activities were aimed at our development. I feel that I was able to get a lot out of this insight day.

This insight day provided a good understanding of what it would be like to have a full time role in M&G Investments. The speakers spoke in-depth about their own experiences at the firm, as well as at other firms and how they compare. Employees were also very open about their experiences at the firm during networking sessions.

The insight day provided a great insight into the culture at M&G Investment. Employees had plenty of stories to share of the positive culture at the firm and I was also able to feel the culture through the atmosphere at the event. I have certainly come away with a much better understanding of the culture at the firm.

The content of the insight day was personally very beneficial to me. As fund management is something that I am very interested in, the content of the day helped to solidify my intentions to pursue a career in this sector. Furthermore, the company culture and the working style is something that I really loved at this firm.

I was not paid or reimbursed however, I only incurred very small travel costs for this event. Furthermore, lunch and snacks were provided.

They were good! All of the employees I spoke with were very open and honest about their experiences with the firm.
