About You
Thoroughly enjoyed the week (wish it had been two!). Everyone in my department was very welcoming and gave me a lot of very interesting trainee work to do. I learnt a lot even in just a week so I am confident that the training contract experience will be second to none.
Everyone made a conscious effort to include me in the department, whether that be through social events, interesting work or just checking in on me. At Walker Morris the fee earners want you to get as most out of the experience as possible and really helped to build my confidence.
My supervisor was fantastic, even though she was not in the office every day she was always in touch by email or phone and made sure that I was always busy. I received detailed feedback on every piece of work I carried out which allowed me to see where improvements could be made.
As I was in corporate, I found that a lot of the work I did was very transferable to my LPC studies at the time. It really helped to put into context everything I was learning in mergers and banking, whilst also developing my enthusiasm even further for corporate law.
The Company
The vacation scheme felt very organised and structured, without feeling as though you were constantly being assessed. There was a good balance between structured activities and just getting stuck into your department. The social was particularly enjoyable and all the trainees and paralegals come along too which is great to meet people!
Very warm and welcoming.
