About You
It was a great experience, 40 interns, and a great hotel as well as a great introduction on the first day.
I was in internal audit, the intern audit team didn't provide much value to us we didn't actually get to shadow them but the HR team was great.
a lot of presentations and talks from current interns and graduates.
Not much for my degree but it was good for my soft skills
The Company
Internal audit team didn't give us much information but the programme.
It was great.
Not much because it was only one week, but there was training for improving presentation skills and selling skills. So I don't blame RBS because one week is not much, but in that week the firm did everything they can and I learned a lot about internal audit and banking and RBS.
I learned a lot about the culture at RBS and I made mind about working full time. The insight gave me a great insight and a true picture of the company. We had talks and networking events so the insight did show us what it would be like to work at RBS.
I learned a lot about the culture at RBS and I figured it was a very friendly and open mined culture full of great opportunities. The insight gave me a great insight into the culture at the firm. We had networking events so the insight gave me a good understanding of the culture at the firm.
The content of the day was amazing, all the days were structured well with talks and networking events as well as work shadow for some hours. We had chances to meet people in out the interest of departments and talk to them about their jobs and how we can get there in the future.
Everything Else
Everything was paid for, the hospital was amazing. The hotel, food, transport to and from work and other things at work was all paid for. We had large allowances for food and travel and that was amazing from RBS. The firm did everything possible to make us feel comfortable and it was great.
There was alot of opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company, there were talks from graduates and drinks after and dinner where we could talk to them. We also had opportunities to talk to seniors at the particular departments we were in. RBS could have done a bit better in this aspect, especially for internal audit.
There was alot of opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company, there were talks from graduates and drinks after and dinner where we could talk to them. We also had opportunities to talk to seniors at the particular departments we were in, where we could have coffee with them in the coffee bars on sight. RBS could have done a bit better in this aspect, especially for internal audit by making it more fun and more interactive.
Not that much, the insight was focused on people and what they do at the job so there wasn't much information about what they do outside of work. We had a few talks and presentations but none of them was about personal lives outside of work or anything to do with outside of work.
I would recommend this insight to a friend, it was all paid for and a lot of fun where I met great people and built lifelong relationships. Furthermore, you can get a great insight into RBS and banking, and the people at the firm are very friendly you will definitely feel welcomed.
