About You
The 3 weeks spent at DLA Piper as part of it's Summer Internship were fantastic. The insight I recieved into the culture of the firm and also what it is like to work in 2 different practice groups was so valuable.
The effort put into the scheme and ensuring we got the most out of time made me realise how much balue the firm puts on its interns. We were given interesting work that made us feel like part of a team.
The friendly nature of the firm and the graduate recruitemnt team meant I also felt well supported.
The insight will be so valauble moving forward, either when applying to other schemes or even when deciding where you would like to have your seats in the future.
The Company
The organisation of the scheme was one of its best qualities, very well structured.
Everyone at the firm was incredibly nice and friendly, overall the atmosphere was very welcoming
The various skill workshops and insight events make you feel more confident about the skills you already have and helped me to develop my skills further.
The structure whereas you spend a week in two different practice areas and the fact you get real work to do has given me a real sense of what it is like to work as a lawyer. Furthermore, speaking with current trainees helps develop the idea of trainee life.
The insight sessions and the time actually spent in the office gives you a sense of what the local firm culture is like but what the firm is like on a global scale as well.
Very valuable as I have gained a sense of what it means to work at DLA Piper but also in a law firm in general
Everything Else
We had multiple networking events over the three weeks with trainees, lawyers and of course the other interns.
The events were bery relaxed and often in lovely venues with great food and drink.
having the opprtunity to help with pro bono work done by trainees was a highlight.
Yes definitely.
