  • I have had exposure to different teams and have learnt valuable insights on how the bank works as a whole. Colleagues are very friendly and are open to explain any questions. Q&A sessions with senior members were very helpful. Learning opportunities are sufficient and the Challenges sessions have improved my ability to work with colleagues as a team.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • My time management skill and multitask ability have improved significantly, which will be very helpful in my degree studies where I will need to allocate my time properly to different courses. Also my communication skill has enhanced. I have learnt how to work in a team better and how to deal with team members with different personalities.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • In the very beginning of the internship, the induction programme was very helpful in giving us a big picture of how the bank worked, what was the culture. It also provided some trainings in soft skills which have been b proven very helpful for my work. My project and responsibility are very clear and I always have access to most resources I need.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I have had trainings in soft skills and GPL courses in recent regulation change and bank-wide policies. I also had the chance to meet senior members and ask questions. It would be very helpful if I could have more exposures to other teams within my department and have an idea of what each team does.
