The Role
This was the placement I have enjoyed the most in comparison to the other legal placements I completed.
Everybody thanked me for my contribution at the end of every task and actually used my work, which was very rewarding.
My supervisors always took the time to explain the legal and factual background of the tasks I was given as well as to give me some feedback on how to improve my performance.
I was always kept busy but never made to work until very late.
I was given the right level of responsibility which I could handle. One of the memos I had to write was forwarded to a partner who used it in the negotiation of a deal.
My commercial awareness has increased significantly which is now very helpful in my studies of Company Law.
The Company
At times everybody was very busy, but every single person I met was very friendly.
This is the most well-organised internship I have attended.
The vacation scheme was one of the longest a city law firm offers which means a great deal of investment on behalf of the firm.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
I was offered a job with the firm, which I accepted.
The Culture
Everybody was very friendly and extremely intelligent.
It was reasonable.
We had the opportunity to experience a great deal thanks to the social events the firm organised.
There were many opportunities to get involved in pro bono work, charities, sports and social activities.
