  • A very eye-opening experience

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Most colleagues, within and outside of team, are very supportive and very willing to provide guidance whenever I approach them.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Not very busy. On the trading floor we start early and end early, as we are not allowed to trade at the moment, we are able to manage our time very flexibly. We are often occupied by non-desk related projects (e.g. trading game), and I would say there is both pros and cons to this.

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • As I rotated on a flow trading desk, there is limited help I can provide to the team due to compliance issues. I was given a stand alone project to work on, and that gave me a sense of ownership

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Developed knowledge about the trading floor and networking skills
