The Role
A very eye-opening experience
They appreciate the help that I try to provide
Most colleagues, within and outside of team, are very supportive and very willing to provide guidance whenever I approach them.
Not very busy. On the trading floor we start early and end early, as we are not allowed to trade at the moment, we are able to manage our time very flexibly. We are often occupied by non-desk related projects (e.g. trading game), and I would say there is both pros and cons to this.
As I rotated on a flow trading desk, there is limited help I can provide to the team due to compliance issues. I was given a stand alone project to work on, and that gave me a sense of ownership
Developed knowledge about the trading floor and networking skills
The Company
Inclusive and supportive
Fairly organised
Quite a few on-going programmes aiming to develop new joiners
Subsidised Canteen
Quite appealing
The Culture
Yes, the intern/analyst cohort is tight
Relatively high, but it is London
Not familiar with nightlife in the area
Fairly, mostly during weekends
