The Role
Very much so, the team are really friendly and supportive, and I am constantly learning.
My inputs are valued and my colleagues are happy to talk through the wider deal structure so that my contribution is that much more insightful.
We have been given a week of formal training as well as on the ground training within the team to consolidate pre existing knowledge and bring everyone up to speed.
Very busy! The hours are tough, and packed full of research, reading and contributing to presentations. However the team always sets aside time to relax, and you're definitely able to work the way that best suits you.
I was given a fair amount of responsibility, and was able to take the initiative on my tasks and see what I could make of them without being walked through,
Banking gave me a completely different perspective on the way that the world works.
The Company
Friendly, hard working, and always eager to talk through things.
Organised enough to direct you, but not so prescriptive that you aren't able to ask for a particular kind of project,
One week of full time training, a further five or six sessions within the team
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Very, lots of the seniors in my team (UK) have been here their whole careers.
The Culture
Yes, we were able to meet for drinks, and relax outside of work hours.
Expensive, but affordable given the salary for the internship we were awarded.
In Canary wharf, the nightlife is relaxed, its a drinks outside in the evening kind of environment.
We had a volunteer day, where we all got stuck in to some manual labour for a local park charity.
