The Role
The internship is well organized. The people have been very helpful in ensuring my proper induction in the workplace. The work is interesting and stimulating.
My colleagues are always keen on giving me helpful advice and feedback.
My manager is always available when I need her. Additionally she always gives me feedback when she feels that it would result in me improving.
Some days I am very busy but most days are balanced.
I was given responsibility a fair amount of times.
I do not feel that the skills I acquired are very relevant to my degree but I certainly believe that I have learnt a great deal about the financial sector but also I have acquired very crucial skills (i.e. networking skills) that will shape me as a competitive employee.
The Company
Excellent atmosphere. Friendly, Fun, Professional but also Relaxed. Loved the culture.
Very good organisation of the internship.
I felt valued at work and I felt people cared about my personal and career development.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Interns are encouraged to perform well so at to secure a place in the graduate programme which is very appealing.
The Culture
There was a good vibe and atmosphere between the interns. I actually made very good friends with them.
Cost of living was huge. London prices are insurmountable.
Apart from going to the pub with work colleagues, nightlife was poor to non-existent I would say.
There was a great deal of social activities organised by my employer.
