The Role
I really enjoyed working in my team. The atmosphere of the team and the company itself was amazing! Everybody was so friendly, nice and supportive. It was noticeable how Savills really tries to value every single employee including us, the summer students.
Everybody took care of me. We would always have a chat to check on each other, they will always ask if there could be anything for them to help me. Literally LOVED the team.
As I have said, everybody is so supportive. Within a month, which is quite a short period, they tried to give me an insight of every aspect in the team. I very much enjoyed it.
I was quite busy, but it is also because personally, I like working rather than spending time doing nothing. So whenever I am done I would go ask if there could be any help I could do.
I was doing real on-going projects for the whole time during my placement. Also had to do some tasks which I had to do it myself as an individual, rather than helping the others.
My excel, paying attention to the details, the importance of keeping data or information up to date, organization skills have accelerated. It may not be relevant to what I am studying, but would definitely be beneficial for me in the future.
The Company
As I said previously, lovely, kind, friendly, supportive; any positive words would do. Nothing negative.
Very well, I heard my team members had been doing meetings and discussed what tasks they would want me to experience before I started my placement. This just shows how much effort and care they were giving to me.
There were departmental talks, social event such as lunches, drinks, etc going on during my placement. They really wanted us to experience fully about Savills, and were also emphasizing themselves on the importance of investing in employees.
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing. Especially for those who do not visa and are interested in property, I would STRONGLY recommend to apply Savills graduate scheme.
The Culture
There was been drinking events going on, and we would also have city tours together provided by Savills.
London cost, I won't really mention, but overall the socialising in the area was good. We could have team drinking and so on.
Oxford Circus, always very alive.
Savills provided us city tours.
