The Role
Working with like minded people who were happy and friendly, tackling different scenarios that came our way and giving me invaluable experience that I know I can take back to University and have a greater chance of success in my final year.
I've never worked in a friendlier environment the people I work with I will miss incredibly as I have never been a part of a team so close and respectful as the team I have had.
There was'nt a day where I would'nt get feedback on my sales pitch my service delivery or any aspect of the business, my management knew i wanted to improve and they wanted me to improve.
Every day would be a challenge, I worked at one of the largest branches in my group and we would be doing something different every day and every day would start off one way and change completely as the day progressed, I was never bored.
My management gave me complete autonomy to make my own decisions good or bad and learn from these. I also had a few chances to run the branch and be in charge of how the day runs.
I've learnt that I am a natural leader and that I can trust myself to make the right decisions. Time management is now a thing of the past as this was an area i struggled in before but those 9am seminars will be easy now
The Company
Everyone helped create an amazing atmosphere in the branch and i never had a dull day, full of characters that complemented eachother full of like minded people. The best place I have ever worked everyone is in it together.
Perfect, genuinely from start to finish i knew where i was going to be in 3 months, 6 months and 12 months. And the parts in between i was fine tuning my skills so when i get to these crucial months i was well above anyone else.
The company invested a awful lot of time starting with a full week of training and then training at month 3,6 and 9, this was just head office. In the branch my managers had weekly meetings with myself always trying to improve and push myself.
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
I have just completed my MQI which means I am ready to be an Assistant manager after 1 year and they were an amazing company to work for. I know they will have me back and i know I want to give them my all.
The Culture
Everyone was in a very similar boat, all management trainees/assistants are fresh out of uni, so they are all like minded and fun individuals. Everyone wanted to go out and do social things and definitely mixed well with everyone at the branch.
Everyone lived local i didnt know anyone in the area, but i had my work mates and being in London its a little bit more expensive but its a more fun and enjoyable area than I have been before.
Great, there was a bit for everyone and in being in London its easy to go and do other things go to other clubs it was a great area to live when your young and have cash to burn.
Enterprise would always encourage us to do activities out of work, their main one getting involved in Pride. Also creating activities when we reached 20,000 vehicles on rent where they hired out the natural history museum for a black tie event. Has been fantastic.
