The Role
My colleagues and mentors here at Savills have made my experience very enjoyable. They created a very fun yet professional atmosphere in and around the office which made my time here entertaining and insightful.
My colleagues certainly made feel valued in the office and in particular outside the office at social events. Where they would look after and engage with me as much as possible, creating a very tight- knit bound.
My colleagues were always on hand if I needed assistance and were easy to approach if I was uncertain on a particular task/concept.
Some days I was a lot busier than others. This could of been due to the fact it was only a month long but also because of the current market being a bit slow.
My colleagues tried to engage me in various viewings and set a wide variety of tasks for me to complete during my time including calls, spreadsheets, brochures etc which certainly made me feel responsible.
Coming from a non-cognate degree the experience, understanding and training I have received is going to be highly advantageous to me for when I start my Masters in Real Estate.
The Company
The office I was assigned to was relatively small and therefore everyone knew each other well which created a very friendly, fun and professional atmosphere. Highlight of my time here.
The internship was generally set up well. Although, some of the tasks where arranged by HR in London and weren't necessarily possible to do in smaller offices. However, the HR were very efficient and helpful if there were problems or any questions.
Company Parties/Events
Future employment is massively appealing to me. Firstly, because I enjoyed my time here and it is certainly a work culture I would enjoy. Additionally, the opportunity available at Savills due to its world wide reputation are a real incentive.
The Culture
The social aspect was the most enjoyable aspect of my internship. Various events were arranged for us as well as office lunches that were thoroughly enjoyable.
Living from home made my cost relatively cheap.
I wasn't situated in major city however the nightlife is still very enjoyable and the company I was surrounded by made it better than it already is.
There is a good range of opportunities outside of work.
