The Role
It was a good experience on a whole but it did not meet my exceptions in regards to what I would get out of the placement
I did feel valued at times but on occasions I did not feel as confident within the department as a result of pressure from too much work
This is an area which put me down during my placement. I did not receive enough time from supervisor at the start to build my confidence which slowed me down. Once I was up and running it was fine but I expected more support from manager in terms of regular meetings/reviews to see how I was doing or coping with work load which seemed too much at times. Initial training and supervision makes an important difference to the whole year
Most days were very busy. Too much work was given and I did not get time to make most of my year in terms of attending conferences or build on career prospects by working in other departments/ getting ideas for future.
It was ok but I would have liked to be given different areas of responsibilities rather than one specific part at all times and too much of it
I guess I have gained essential skills for life in terms of the practical side as well as on a personal level but it did not meet up to my expectations
The Company
It was a very friendly and lively atmosphere. At times it was dull due to the pressure and workload
Not as good as I assumed. More effort should be put into ensuring student performance and satisfaction with work throughout the year. Have regular meetings to discuss issues/progress.
Average. More time and effort should be put into student training and development
Financial Bonus
