The Role
Overall work placement was excellent... as long as you are on a placement to do some actual work!
It is a small team and they expect everyone to muck in so I felt pretty like one of the team
I had two excellent manager who were very supportive and great coaches
Very busy. Perhaps sometimes a little too busy but it was fine as the work was so interesting
Well I got to manage my product which had a budget. And at the end of my placement my boss left so they had me managing our Partnerships until someone new was recruited. I couldn't have expected more!
It was extremely beneficial. I went into the final year with a more mature approach to my work and my final year results were far stronger than previous years. A good work placement could make that vital difference
The Company
Great team to work with. Close and tightly knitted
Nothing to complain about really
Not much in the way of structured training but what you 'learn by doing' is vital
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Excellent. I got a job back at Avis after leaving uni and since then I continously moved into new and exciting jobs and I recently got promoted
The Culture
It was more about the social scene with other Avis staff. There were not many placement student
Outskirts of London so fairly costly in comparison.
The local area is awful but central London is a 15-20 minute train away
There were stuff we used to organise like work 5-a-side tournaments. The company is fairly good at those sort of things. There is also a dedicated social committee
