The Role
I really enjoyed it, because I felt very welcomed and it was a relaxing atmosphere.
I felt very valued by my colleagues, because they valued my presence and also the work completed. They were also always very willing to help and wouldn't mind me asking them lots of questions.
I was given lots of support and guidance by my manager, who was very welcoming and willing to help. He also made sure I knew how to work the different computer systems, as well as carrying out different tasks.
I was quite busy, which was enough to keep me occupied but I wasn't overworked.
I was given a fair amount of responsibility, because I worked on quite a few clients, and so I had to ensure that all of the data entered was correct and accurate. However, there are multiple layers of people who will check your work before it is sent to the client, so it isn't too detrimental if you make a mistake.
I think it will help me concentrate and focus more for a structured, full day of working. I also learnt lots about excel and how to write professional reports.
The Company
It was a very relaxed atmosphere in the office, and a lot more laid back and friendly than I thought it would be.
I think it was very well organized, because we had an ongoing speaker series where we could learn more about the other business segments. However there were some things that we still had to organize ourselves such as our manager meeting and finding work.
I think they invested quite a lot, because we had to do a technical presentation, which helped us gain a greater knowledge of the more technical investment skills.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Quite appealing, because then I would already know the team of people that I will be working with. The atmosphere is also very relaxed and so I would enjoy continuing working there. However the commute is not ideal which would be my only reservation.
The Culture
Yes, there were quite a few events that we could go to where we could interact with the grads and the others from work in a more informal setting.
fairly expensive but not too bad.
It is not that great, but still an enjoyable night out
Yes, there were a fair few sports events such as cricket and rounders that you could attend or play in.
