  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I really enjoyed it, because I felt very welcomed and it was a relaxing atmosphere.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt very valued by my colleagues, because they valued my presence and also the work completed. They were also always very willing to help and wouldn't mind me asking them lots of questions.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I was given lots of support and guidance by my manager, who was very welcoming and willing to help. He also made sure I knew how to work the different computer systems, as well as carrying out different tasks.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I was quite busy, which was enough to keep me occupied but I wasn't overworked.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a fair amount of responsibility, because I worked on quite a few clients, and so I had to ensure that all of the data entered was correct and accurate. However, there are multiple layers of people who will check your work before it is sent to the client, so it isn't too detrimental if you make a mistake.

    3/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I think it will help me concentrate and focus more for a structured, full day of working. I also learnt lots about excel and how to write professional reports.

    3/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • It was a very relaxed atmosphere in the office, and a lot more laid back and friendly than I thought it would be.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • I think it was very well organized, because we had an ongoing speaker series where we could learn more about the other business segments. However there were some things that we still had to organize ourselves such as our manager meeting and finding work.

    3/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I think they invested quite a lot, because we had to do a technical presentation, which helped us gain a greater knowledge of the more technical investment skills.

    3/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    Subsidised Canteen

    Company Parties/Events

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Quite appealing, because then I would already know the team of people that I will be working with. The atmosphere is also very relaxed and so I would enjoy continuing working there. However the commute is not ideal which would be my only reservation.

    3/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    4/5

  • Yes, there were a fair few sports events such as cricket and rounders that you could attend or play in.
