  • Good placement overall with a great company but struggled with supervisor being unhelpful at times

  • Fun could be had and everyone gets on well but could also be serious when the time was needed

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Great social environment amongst students on placement. Within the lab there was also a good social atmosphere with lab/ team trips and socials being a regular occurrence

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Cost of living same as at uni but limited socialising in Stevenage itself. However very close to London

  • A few pubs and one club. However close to London which has better nightlife

  • Great sports opportunities within organised clubs and alone if wanted. Very welcoming community
