The Role
I enjoyed my year at GSK very much
As the year progressed I felt more valued by my colleagues
I was given lots of support, having weekly catch-ups with my team and manager
You became busy according to the amount of work you took on and how many projects were still running
I was given lots of responsibility, often overseeing projects from start to finish and leading development
I learnt lots of valuable techincal skills which are useful for my career and the completion of my degree
The Company
The general atmosphere was good, with a good mix of people of different ages and interacting with others was easy due to the smart working nature of the office
The work placement was fairly well organised, no formal training was arranged
The training I was having was all on the job by partaking in various projects
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
There are opportunities for graduate roles and direct employment by networking with the right people and teams
The Culture
Social scene was good with weekly football and social event by the department every year for the summer and Christmas
Lived at home and commuted
