The Role
Placement was a great learning experience for me and it gave me alot of insight into the professional business world and how best to work in it.
From day one i was made to feel like a part of the team with responsibilities and duties which were vital . These responsibilities were undertaken smoothly to take on as the team is always ready and able to assist and guide down the right path and support you .
There was a tremendous amount of support from my team especially in the beginning with the manufacturing industry being new to me the team was always there to help me and guide me to the point where i was able to get a full understanding of business functions and activities.
The job was quite tasking so there were never moments when i'd look for things to do as there's always something on hand to be done. This increased my knowledge of the products and services of Cummins as i learnt on the go with as much work as i would do.
The role involved quite a bit of critical responsibility that were vital for the survival of the company and would need to be completed quickly.
I gained a lot of vital skills in various means in respect to sales, management , organisational . The major development i take away from this experience is my increase of understanding how to manage and maintain and develop a multinational organisation with contrasting factors among regions such as culture, language, perspective and mode of thinking as the job allows you to see things from a different perspective on a larger scale than i'd ever seen before.
The Company
The office atmosphere helped a lot in settling down as everyone is very friendly and welcoming which set me at ease when i first started .
The program in its entirety was well set up and i cannot see any way that it can be improved as its fantastic as it is.
The company made significant investments in me through various means such as taking me to a sales conference abroad to gain exposure into different business mediums and network with customers and colleagues.

The future employment prospects are extremely incredible and appealing to me as Cummins has several programs available such as the Rotational graduate scheme project which i would be very interested in,
The Culture
The placements and myself were very social and got together quite a lot for different events, night outs , picnics and hangouts etc, as this was encourageed by the company.
Cost of quite living in Kent is relatively low compared to London where i'm from so this was very helpful for me as it allowed me to save more.
The night life in kent isn't the best, again as opposed to london where i'm from . There weren't much students in the surrounding area.
The sports and social club constantly advertised different events athroughout the year in different locations and activities that were very intriguing and fun and helped bring people together and create more of a bond in between employees.
