The Role
Thus far I have thoroughly enjoyed my internship placement. It has been an extremely valuable experience and given me exposure to many aspects of the business that I didn't even know existed. Everyone I have met has been really friendly and willing to help.
Everyone made a keen effort to make me feel welcome and were more than willing to give their time to help me understand things and get to know me
A lot of support. During my rotations I have had 2 very supportive line managers and also a very interactive program manager
It was a good balance between having tasks but also having time to learn processes and do some extra reading around the topics I was working on.
I have been given my own tasks and projects but I think due to the time frame the internship runs for it's hard to take full ownership over a large project.
They will be beneficial for life. Small things such as daily routine I will use when I go back to university. As well as having developed my excel skills and presenting skills. Learning to work more collaboratively in teams and enhancing communication skills has been so useful and I am so glad I was able to do this at UBS!
