    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • Was placed in an physical engineering team when I was studying electronics so not a great start. The team was dying out due to changes in the industry. There was very little to do and I spent the whole 3 months incredibly bored. I was due to do a year but changed to 3 months because of this.

    • Most of the team did help and tried to show us things but there simply wasn't much to see whilst we were there.

    • Manager and seniors had very little clue as to what we were doing

    • Had nothing to do most days. Just sat there, very bored

    • It was nice to see inside a large company with some lovely cars but in the grand scheme of things I learnt little of value

    • Pleasant atmosphere mostly

    • The first week was organised but as soon as you were put into your team the communication stopped

    • They paid wages for the summer, not other investment
