The Role
I really enjoyed my placement here at BMW, the department allowed me to learn things about a lot of areas of engineering. I also got to experience what other departments did and I feel as i got the complete experience from working here. Each day was enjoyable and i would recommend it.
I felt as though all my colleagues valued me. They all listened to what i had to say and supported me whenever I needed it. They were all down to earth and really appreciated it when I offered my support with tasks and project. I felt as i was a productive part of the team.
My manager and supervisor was fantastic. They always offered support whenever i needed it and always found the time to guide me when I needed it. I felt as though they did care about me and that they wanted my work to be just as good as i wanted it to be.
Most days I had tasks and projects to do which was nice, it was never too much but it kept me busy throughout the day. However some days I was left wondering what to do as I had no tasks to do, this was a shame but still most of the time i could find something to do or ask someone if they needed support.
I was given a good amount of responsibility when working at Mini. I was asked to run meetings and meet and speak to suppliers. I was also asked to present to General Managers across the BMW network representing my department. It was a good amount of responsibility but it was never too much that i didn't know what to do.
Doing a placement here has helped me develop my personal and technical skills dramatically. I have learnt skills I did not know before and i have developed my skills that i learnt at university. These skills will help me in my final year of Uni as well when i start my job.
The Company
Amazing atmosphere, very calm and friendly.
It was very well organised, there is a big group of placement students here at Mini so there is always students to talk to and to meet outside work. I never had a problem when starting here and I was given contacts if i had any questions that i wanted answering.
They have invested a lot of time and effort into training me, I was giving time with each of the people in my department to learn what they did and that has helped my personal development. Also i was given all the training i needed to complete all my tasks and more.

I would happily accept a job opportunity from them. I have enjoyed my time here and everyone I have met has been friendly and helpful. It is a lovely place to work and they have a lot of good benefits for their staff as well. I can see myself working here in the future.
The Culture
Yes, there was a big group of students that were always up for something.
Living in oxford is expensive but you will not be struggling for money because of it! The surrounding area is lovely and as there is such a big group of students you can be social whenever you want. Plus there are a lot of students as well which makes the night life good.
Brilliant, its a student town.
The interns were good at organising activities outside work. Endless things going on.
