The Role
My internship at BAML has been awesome. I learn every single day. I am so excited about the work and the people I work with. I love BAML's work life balance, even in Investment Banking, BAML still finds a way to ensure we get the best of the internship.
We were involved in activities and we were made to see how important our outputs were to the success of the work. We were put through a lot of training sessions. to me that screams VALUE. No one will invest in who they do not value.
Support and guidance in BAML is awesome. On resuming, one is allocated a buddy, a mentor, a development officer, a staffer all at your disposal to help. Also, I registered for a network an di was given another mentor to guide me. the support and guidance system is awesome.
I had days I was crazy busy (I forget lunch or dinner) but towards the ends of internship and when people went of leave, I became free but not too free.
I was involved in crucial deals. so I would say a lot. But I also helped in the basic stuff.
It is unexplainable.
The Company
everyone is super busy including me. but when it is time for hanging out, everyone is available, at least they try to be. On the average the environment is very calm with people busy on their screens.
very structured with weekly training sessions, team events and general intern events.
A lot. All resources were made available to me. The investment in interns is massive.

Super appealing. Such opportunities should never be missed at all.

Living in London is expensive so I think it cuts across firms in London.
investment banking interns had a cap of 10pm while other interns shuffled between 7pm and 9pm depending on their divisions. Plus if an investment banking intern closes by 10pm, you are entitled to a taxi ride.
Yes oo. So many organized activities as well as networking groups.
