The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship. Getting an insight into the corporate world and through the audit department was invaluable. Ability to have things to do and be involved in the office was something I was scared of but the people and organisers made it an unbelievable experience
I felt very valued. I felt comfortable speaking to any of the colleagues from all ranges of the department and from other areas of the firm.
We had support by many different managers which was very helpful in making the internship as rewarding as possible. I believe greater work could be done to improve how the buddy system works to ensure that all interns had more buddies that were accessible so that anyone could be spoken to as a buddy.
I was fairly busy. When on a client site there was lots of work to be done. In the office was slightly different in that it was difficult to be given meaningful tasks without having worked on the client prior so there were days with little to do and involved asking colleagues for work.
I was given responsibility through managing work at the client's site and ensuring things ran smoothly. I believe more should be done to give interns greater responsibility such as meeting deadlines
Very much so. The skills such as the importance of the client relationship and the team work involved to deliver outstanding service cannot be underestimated. I believe I have also gained a key insight into the financial world and one that is not available in the classroom.
The Company
Quiet however once spent a few weeks there began to liven up. I think more should be done to have a work hard play hard attitude.
Yes very well organised with the exception of not organising enough hotels for when we did induction and ending of the internship. As we had chosen our offices based on our commitment to make it to the office and surrounding areas. As we were needed to travel to a different office there should be accommodation for everyone - especially as we had only just met and meant that some people had to miss out on after work events.
Yes to a great extent
Subsidised Canteen
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing
The Culture
Yes - all students and grads at the place were very welcoming and wanted to take us on nights out to get to know us better.
It was fine for me. Ideally would have been in the city centre.
Very good nightlife however didn't experience too often as colleagues usually had too much work or just declined
Not many. Could've been more
