The Role
I enjoyed working with the team in the Manchester office, they organise team activities which are both fun and allows you to get to know the team better.
No matter what position people had they treated you with respect. Everyone listens and appreciates your input and opinion.
I was provided with a buddy and a counselling manager for my 6 week placement that dealt with any issues or questions I had.
The workload varied on a day to day basis however they understand that you are an intern and don't overload you with work.
I was surprised how much responsibility they gave me, it made me feel more valued and that I was actually contributing to the team.
I developed skills in regards to team working and time management. However as I do a Maths degree they don't specifically relate to my degree.
The Company
There was a great balance between getting the work done and having fun with your colleagues.
Overall the Internship was extremely well organised. However on some occasions there were times that it wasn't as well organised.
You can tell that even though it was only a 6 week placement the company had invested a lot into each one of us.
Sports and Social Club
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
I would not only accept a job from them but would recommend others to give the internship a go. The company is an excellent place to work.
The Culture
All the national interns trained together and met up at the end of the internship. There were many activities that were enjoyable and I have made some really good friends.
The area I worked in is where I live so the cost of living is the same as normal, however socialising wasn't that expensive and some of the socials were subsidised.
I am not really a big fan of Nightlife so can't really comment.
There are loads of opportunities to get involved for example a national football tournament or playing in a corporate cricket competition.
