    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • I thoroughly enjoyed the internship. Meeting like minded people who are aiming for the same goal was very rewarding and fresh. They also rented a boat for everyone on the Thames!

    • I felt very valued and included from day one of the internship, which just made the whole process so much easier.

    • Support was always given and a helpful colleague was always on hand to help or answer any queries i had.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?

    • I was mostly at clients with work to do. However, there were some times where there was no feasible work i have the understanding or knowledge to complete, which i can reason with.

    • I was treated like i worked at the company full time so full responsibility was given.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • The experience as a whole was great and gave me a fantastic insight into working in the finance industry in which i would not have been able to gain elsewhere.

    • Happy and friendly.

    • Very well organised, i got sent an updated timetable frequently.

    • The firm invested in me fully giving me responsibility to complete new and involved tasks.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • Very good social scene as everyone was like minded and got on, they weren't afraid to have a good time.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

    • Not too expensive as it was in the north.

    • Good bars and places to go clubbing.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?

    • Football runs every 2 weeks in the office and we got invited to a football tournament in Manchester which was unreal.
