The Role
The internship introduced me into a totally new area of work and gave me the skills and confidence needed to become successful at BDO. This was more than just an internship it was full on graduate level work dealing with actual real clients.
My colleagues were of great support and despite always being busy gave me time to explain answers to questions and when I was stuck were always there to help. One of the best things about BDO is definitely the people that work for the company in all departments from PAs to receptionists to Tax, Audit, Accounts etc
The assistant managers of my team need to take extremely great credit for how they gave support and helped me through the internship
I was always extremely busy at work non stop every day. The internship teaches you how to plan your time effectively and work on multiple tasks at the same time if you like a busy working environment like my self then this is definitely for you.
As the values of BDO suggest BDO interns are given proper work and get to deal with actual clients and feel like your work is helping within the bigger picture of the firm
From day one until the very end I learned lots of new skills. Coming from a degree background where my accountancy knowledge was limited I was able to use skills I did have and develop those I had little knowledge in.
The Company
Everyone across the office had a professional yet chilled environment from cake Fridays to dress down days the office atmosphere was lots of fun to be a part of and definitely feels like an extended family
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
Healthcare/Dental
I would love to be given the opportunity to enter professional training at BDO and I am currently awaiting the result of my partner interview that brings to an end the internship. It is an extremely good way to go into your final year of university with a graduate job already lined up
