The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship, I was given responsibility to complete task independently, accompanied by brilliant support to learn.
The colleagues in my team were amazing, they made me feel completely part of their cohort and treated me like any other employee with respect and kindness.
My line manager supported me consistently through my internship, this was supplemented by the entire management support team. At any point I had an issue, or wanted to ask a question I felt able to reach out.
The internship is driven by self-motivation and personal drive to succeed. If you reach out and ask for project work/ shadowing then you have ample opportunity to fill your day with a range of tasks and activities.
I was given the chance to complete my own projects, work in conjunction with employees throughout my internship, facilitating an array of learning experiences.
I had amble support to 'on-the-job' learning alongside brilliant exposure to industry experts and sector specialists which allowed me to learn a great amount about the financial services industry.
The Company
Very positive and welcoming
The internship was very well organised by the management team.
I felt that HSBC were actively encouraging me to reach out and diversify my skills and knowledge. When I encountered an opportunity to further this, I was supported.
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing.
The Culture
The social scene constituted a major enjoyment aspect of the internship. The intern management team organised social events, both educational and recreational.
Average.
Great!
There are many opportunities to get involved in extra-curricular activities with colleagues outside of work, from sport to volunteering.
