The Role
The internship gave me a lot of insight into how the bank works and my line manager helped me to tailor the experience to exactly what I wanted to get out of it.
Colleagues always made me feel welcome within the team, showed that my projects mattered and made a real contribution to the team , and gave me advice when I asked for it.
My line manager was brilliant in providing support during the internship journey and helping me to get the most out of it.
I was never too busy and I always seemed to have the right amount to do.
I was given full responsibility over my projects and my role in the charity events.
I think that this internship has provided me with many transferrable skills that will help with me degree and a future career.
The Company
The office was a great place to work with a very friendly team.
The internship was mostly organised by my line manager on the job and she was brilliant in helping me get what I wanted out of it.
I think they invested a lot in preparatory training during the initial weeks and helping me to get to grips with what I would be doing and gain a better understanding of the bank.
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
The organisation is vast and full of great opportunities, with a renowned graduate scheme.
The Culture
I became very friendly with my fellow interns and colleagues and attended social events.
Cardiff is not overly expensive if you go to the right places.
The nightlife was good for a variation of tastes with good restaurants and cocktail bars, as well as clubs and pubs.
Social activities could be organised within teams outside of work.
