The Role
I found everyone very welcoming which made the adjustment to working life a lot easier and made the internship a lot more enjoyable as there was always someone to talk to. I was constantly kept busy which has made the 10 weeks here pass very quickly and given me a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Everyone made the effort to get to know me and genuinely took interest when I was speaking. As a team we went out on socials often, including 2 hen parties and a trip to the Crystal Maze, being invited to these really helped me mingle with the team and feel very welcome.
Any time I had a problem or issue I felt totally confident to ask any member of my direct team, or even the extended team, for help as everyone was willing to give their advise and guidance. Everyone was happy to sit and have a chat with me about their day to day role.
Everyday I came into work knowing I had jobs to do. There was a nice balance of going to meetings and sitting at my desk which prevented me being bored at my desk or run off my feet running between meetings. Any time I was light on work other members of the team were happy to talk me through what they were doing.
I was given the responsibility of deciding if documents needed to be kept. Although I was given guidance as to what sort of documents need to be kept it was a responsibility never the less. All tasks I was given I was shown what I needed to do and left to it, I never felt like someone was watching over my shoulder.
As my internship maps directly to me degree all the skills I have developed here will go a long way in my studies and ultimately my career. I have spent the last weeks seeing the world I will be living in and getting to grips with behaviours and skills I will be using in my future life.
The Company
The office is very much a happy office to be in which everyone gets along brilliantly! There is always someone to talk to and everyone is very supportive of each other and willing to share the workload if anyone is feeling a bit under pressure or just not working at their best.
Everything seemed to be well planed for me coming with everyone having things for me to do. Everything I needed for my work was ready for my arrival. I had "lessons" with my line manager with explaining different stages of the work here and then my work mapped directly to what I had learned that week.
I had "lessons" with my line manager with explaining different stages of the work here and then my work mapped directly to what I had learned that week. Through these I feel I developed a great knowledge of the pricing area of the company. This took time out of my managers day so I am grateful she made this time for me

Company Parties/Events
I will seriously consider employment in Lloyds Banking Group in the future as it is a very happy working environment with great moral and great development prospects. I have really enjoyed my time here and feel it would be very silly not to seriously consider it in my career journey.
The Culture
The social scene was brilliant amongst fellow interns. We were all living together in student accommodation which made getting to know everyone so much easier and helped you to meet people in different areas in the bank that you otherwise would not have met. As we were living together you get to for very good friendships in the short time frame.
The cost of living is not what you would call cheap, however, in perspective of London cost of living it was not extortionate. I have seen a difference from home (Northern Ireland) but that was to be expected and was not as big a price jump as I anticipated. With regards to socialising, nightclubs tent to have online deals which brought don't the price of going out.
I lived and worked near Shoreditch, a place known for its nightlife for my age group. I was delighted to find out this was the area I was going to be near. When we decided to go into central London for nightlife we were very near a tube station which made it very easy to do so.
There were a few things we could get involved with, we were encouraged to do a team charity challenge in which we were encouraged to raise money and awareness for Mental Health UK and we were also give the opportunity to do a presentation to the Group Corporate Treasurer. Both of which were great experiences.
