The Role
5. Coming as a history student I did not feel that being put into an insurance and wealth department matched my personality very well as I am more of a people person instead of a number person as such. Although I enjoyed the professional lifestyle and the working environment I feel my traits would have been put to use in a different department
4. I only did work for 1 member of my team and spent numerous occasions twiddling my thumbs with no work to do
5
5. Although I do not feel anyone is to blame there was various occasions where I found myself bored with no work to do
7 I was pleasantly surprised with the responsibility given to myself and other interns during my placement as I was entrusted with sensitive information
6. Understanding what its like to work in a professional lifestyle Main skill that I developed was that if you were a master of Microsoft excel you would be flying
The Company
8 much more relaxed that I expected. Was very surprised how the environment had got away from the standard 9-5 with everyone dressed formally. I noticed how much trust colleagues were given to get their work done from home too.
6.
7.
5. I would be open to working for Lloyds again depending on what department my internship was
The Culture
10 Living with other interns who were all in the same position was excellent as we were able to socialise on daily basis inside and outside of the office
7.
8.
10. Fringe festival was on although I was to lazy to avail of most of these activities, although I did find time to head out for pints on a few occasions
