The Role
I wouldn't say it was the best job that I've ever had, seeing as this was my proper 1st job and I cant really make a direct comparison, but it was most definitely worth it. The balance between work, friendly environment and great supervision made the job very enjoyable.
I'm involved heavily with my team, being involved in important meetings and presentation. We also go out for a drink after a successful presentation we carried out and had a very casual conversation about work.
I've been handed a lot of materials to read that will help me to be a good manager in the future as well as the current role that I'm involved with
It has its high peeks and low peeks but I've always had something to do/work with which kept me going on a day to day basis
Sometimes it was too much responsibility, some things that I couldn't manage so well due to the lack in mechanical/electrical engineering skills, but that was dealt with quickly by delegating the jobs to the site engineers
I learnt something new on a daily basis that would surely aid my future career prospect
The Company
We have a lot of work load that we had to get through, so we didn't have too long to chat often, but when we did, the engineers jokes and banter were always a good laugh
initially, it was quite dull and they asked me to do the odd job here and there. As soon as I proved myself worthy they saw potential in me to do greater things, they gave me jobs that would have a direct impact in the work place which was challenging and exciting to work with
Obviously, the people at work have their own jobs to deal with, but I was always given support and material that I needed for the job straight on or at any time I requested them. Overall it was very supportive and I felt as if i was an important member of the group

My supervisor and my line manager seems very happy with the job I'm carrying out and the graduate program here seems well structured, planned and the prospect of being a manager after 2 years of the graduate scheme feels very welcoming.
The Culture
They do not have that many students here on the factory site and we had 1 event so far where all the UK factory placement students met up to have a chat with one another
I live quite close to work and it is quite inconvenient for me to travel to town. This was a personal choice that I made. However, my house mates are working professional similar to my age and we have good laugh and have a great social life
Haven't been out much to comment on this topic. Again, personal choice
Been on a walk in the welsh mountains with work colleagues, there are a lot of events during the weekends to see and the city (Liverpool) has a lot to offer
