The Role
The placement was really exciting and regularly kept me on my toes and made sure that the best of my abilities were on show all of the time, and pushed me to be constantly learn and improve on the skills and knowledge that I didn't have before to help me learn and improve myself
As soon as I waked in, it felt like one massive family that was accepting and murmuring. The social events that were organised, helped us develop friendship bonds between each other which in turn helped with personal wellbeing during the working week, and grow as a team and be more effective as a team.
My manager was really supportive and would often make sure that everyone is happy and was able to do things that they said that they could, and helped push colleagues to help improve themselves on a regular basis. They became more than a boss, they became a friend which was heartwarming.
Admitidly there were some days that there were quiet patches, but there was always stuff that you could get on with during that time, and when it got busy, it did get intense but the supportiveness of the team meant that the stress was spread over the group as a whole which meant there was less burden on the individual.
I was given responsibility for several different aspects, such as delivering on the aspects of the work that I had been working on, and managing a solo project with a client including a 1 to 1 client visit, which enabled me to improve my communication skills and confidence in public speaking.
The skills set that I have learned during my placement, such as project management and time management, will be invaluable to me during my final year of university and for future career progression with a graduate job in a years time. It has been really informative and has made me think differently about how to approach stuff.
The Company
The office was always a warm and welcoming location to come to in the morning, and you knew that you were able to come and say hi to people in the morning and people would chat with you and cheer you up if you felt down, or share a joke and make the whole place laugh.
The placement was really well organised, with an induction on the first day, which enabled us to get to know the office better, and get to know key people in the office. They were also very helpful when it came to arranging support and assistance for disabled people, with a dedicated team to help sort out support.
They offered access to several online learning sites that enabled you to learn in your spare time on languages that you didn't know, or needed topping up on. There was also sessions that enabled you to learn about emerging technologies which were lead by fellow colleagues who had been trained up on that technology.

There is quite a good prospect for me to continue my career with the company after I finish my degree, for which I'm aiming all my efforts into securing that job, which just happens to be my dream job with my dream company in my dream location. I couldn't ask for more.
The Culture
There was at least one social each month at some point. We also had a Facebook group chat to talk about stuff
It was fairly resonable
The night life was good, I just didn't partake in it
There were lots of opportunities to get involved in variety of out of work activities.
