The Role
I had so much fun during this internship. All my colleagues are very nice and approachable. Members of other departments are also very helpful and willing to teach me.
My colleagues valued my contributions to the team and also applied some of the materials that I created in the fund management and operation process.
My line manager is truly the best and supportive. She showed me what kind of managers I would like to work for in the future and gave me a lot of career guidance as well.
Some days are busier than the others. But overall this industry has good work-life balance. I've never worked later than 7:30.
I was given reasonable amount of responsibility as an intern. Some tasks are more complex than the others so I got to experience them all.
I've gotten the chance to apply my current skillset, improve them and learn something new.
The Company
People are very concentrated with their work but very fun and chilled overall.
Since this is the first placement after the merger, HR is re-structuring and re-organising. Overall they did a good job but could improve further.
There are a lot skills sessions and personal character test. I got to learn about myself better.
Subsidised/Company Gym
It's a great company to be able to start my career with.
The Culture
A big group of interns normally hangout once every two weeks but smaller groups have met up more often
Edinburgh is fairly reasonable compare to London but still quite expensive
It's always fun to go out around here.
Edinburgh has quite a lot of activities to offer, especially during the summer
