    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • There were points during the internship where I felt as though the work I was doing did not allow me to display my full potential. However, meeting people across the Group and learning about what the other areas of the Group do was thoroughly enjoyable.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • All of my colleagues at LBG were incredibly welcoming and were more than happy to offer their time to answer any questions that I had.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My line manager was lovely and incredibly supportive. She provided guidance when I needed it and was always happy to answer any questions that I had. We also had weekly catch-ups so that she could keep up-to-date with what I was working on.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • On average, I would say I was relatively busy. If there were ever times where I felt bored or as though I had the capacity to take on more work, I would immediately approach my line manager or other members of my team to ask for more work.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I don't feel as though I was given a great deal of responsibility during the placement.

    3/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I've developed many transferrable skills including time management and organisation, which have come with having to meet deadlines.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • My office had the perfect balance between fun and serious. Everyone was relaxed which created a calm working environment. There was a great atmosphere.

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • There could have been more structure to the internship. For the first few weeks it felt as though we were waiting for work but the work was just not coming in. The various challenges we were set were also relatively disorganised.

    2/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I feel as though LBG invested a lot of time in my training and development. Numerous people across the Group took time out of their schedules to speak with us and were more than happy to answer any questions we had.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • 1/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I'd love to return to LBG in the future because of the development opportunities that are available within the company and the friendly work environment.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes. I got along with my fellow interns really well and we would organise things to do outside of work, which was really nice.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • The cost of living and socialising in London is rather high.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Great.

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Not that I was aware of.
