The Role
I really enjoyed my work placement as I learnt a lot about the day to day work life of Lloyd colleagues.
My Line manager and team gave me useful tasks to do which helped benefit other Colleagues and Lloyds itself.
My team always checked up to see if I was ok or needed help.
At times there were periods where I didn't have much work to do due to the nature of the work my team do.
A lot of the work I was given was valuable tasks which helps other colleagues such as resetting other co-workers accounts and monitoring feeds.
Although my internship isn't directly related to my degree, working in an office environment has helped me mature and develop skills.
The Company
My team were always looking after me and the atmosphere was always great. They are very hard working people who at the same time were very friendly and treated me like family. This helped make my internship super fun and enjoyable.
Although I enjoyed my internship, the organisation beforehand wasn't great as I didn't get my location of choice and also the role I was given wasn't related to my degree.
There were development videos given to us which weren't too helpful.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Fairly decent due to the graduate scheme however I am unsure if I will continue my career in this department.
The Culture
Met many new friends thanks to the internship which I am very grateful for. There were plenty of social gatherings and events which we went to.
Fairly cheap due to not having to pay rent thanks to the scholarship. Outings were also fairly well priced.
Didn't see too much of it due to only being free in the weekends however when we did go out the atmosphere was generally fairly decent.
Due to my flatmates and other scholars, there was many outings and activities to participate in such as go-karting and lazertag.
