The Role
I particularly loved the relaxed and friendly office atmosphere. Gaining career-focus was one of my aims in applying for the internship and I know now that this is the sector I want to work in.
I was always profusely thanked for my help in any situation and told I was a useful asset.
There were days when my mentor would be busy all day with meetings, but I was always left with things to do.
Varied day to day. Generally I would say I could have been slightly busier, but it was always interesting to learn by watching.
I would have liked a little more responsibility in terms of personal projects.
I have learnt invaluable professional skills and really increased my confidence as a colleague.
The Company
Friendly and relaxed.
The training elements were excellent and I felt supported throughout.
Training in CV writing and interview techniques. Really aware that we're all on the lookout for a job and increasing our employability was a priority.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Healthcare/Dental
I haven't got a job with them, but would love to apply in the future.
The Culture
Part of a great group of interns who were always up for lunch and often for drinks after work.
London is expensive so unfortunately may not be for everyone, but once you have made the decision to go there you have to make the most of the experience.
Angel has lots of restaurants, bars and pubs - have to go elsewhere for clubs but there's plenty to do.
Lots of fundraising activity and events to volunteer at. Zumba and yoga classes were offered at a reduced rate and there are lots of clubs, but you have to seek these out.
