The Role
The rotational programme allows you to identify the areas of the bank you enjoy the most and therefore in which you have more potential to perform at a high level.
Working environment is extremely friendly. Colleagues are almost always ready to help, and their feedback is constructive and often encouraging.
Line managers were very willing to share advice, help and show guidance and support during the day-to-day activities.
Working hours can be long, but that's the nature of the industry. What counts is feeling valued and having the impression that the work you are doing is useful for the team and the client.
My tasks were complementary to what my more senior colleagues were doing. I felt part of the team as the work I was doing was actually useful for the team.
Coming from a financial background the training was not particularly useful, however the practical skills I have learned on the desk are extremely valuable.
The Company
Friendly, busy, active environment. Positive feeling on average.
Internship was extremely well organized. Agenda was full of additional training opportunities and meetings with senior management as well as social activities with fellow interns and senior colleagues.
MUFG invests a lot on junior people. You don't get thrown on the desk with no guidance but you are followed from the start to the very end.

Company Parties/Events
The rotational graduate program is maybe too long. It lasts more than a year. It is true that it can give you the chance to see where your most fit in terms of divisions but once you feel you are ready to dive into one specific division it might feel like you are just delaying your full time employment.
The Culture
Yes, good atmosphere.
London is expensive, but knowing the right places can take you places.
London is great for clubbing.
