The Role
I have been able to work with numerous people with varying backgrounds and departments they work in, so you will never be set in a routine.
My colleagues made me feel at home from day 1, and it feels like I have been working her for much longer than 8 weeks.
I was invited to weekly meetings to discuss progress with office tasks, projects and the internship. Furthermore, I was given opportunities to have training sessions with members of the team.
I had to come in at 7:30am to be able to complete a few tasks by the deadline. This was the case for me as I had to complete a bit of extra reading because of my non-banking background.
I was given the equivalent of a graduate that would be starting their graduate programme, since, the office wanted to utilise me as much as possible.
It will help me a lot with my banking career because I have had no previous exposure to banking, so all aspects of what I learnt are assets.
The Company
Due to the small size of the office, it was like a family here.
Very well organised, we were informed about events and tasks well in advance.
Many tasks to learn new skills and events that evolved around development were scheduled to aid with personal development.

The Culture
There is a lot of events and opportunity to meet other graduates/interns for social and fun events but also the chance to network with senior staff as well.
Small town so cheap.
Small town so no night life.
I got involved with some volunteering for a charity.
